1 c. white sugar
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. shortening
4 eggs
1 c. sour milk
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. baking soda
Salt
Raisins
Nuts

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Cream white sugar and shortening. Add 2 whole eggs and 2 egg yolks, beaten. Mix thoroughly. Sift dry ingredients together. Alternately add sour milk and dry ingredients to other mixture. Stir in raisins and nuts, if desired. Pour in greased and floured 9 x 13 inch pan. Beat egg whites stiff, add brown sugar. Top cake mixture with egg white and sugar.
