2 tbsp. molasses
4 tbsp. melted butter
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. cloves
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
1 c. sour milk
3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda

Mix well in order given and bake in layers in greased and floured pans at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes.
