Cream together with electric mixer:

1 c. butter
1 c. white sugar
1 c. brown sugar

Beat in:

2 eggs

Add:

1 tsp. vanilla

Sift together then add to mixture:

2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda

Add:

3 c. quick oatmeal

Stir in by hand:

6 oz. chocolate chips

Bake on greased cookie sheet 10 minutes at 350 degrees. Yield: 60 cookies. (This recipe doubles easily for larger batches.)
