CHERRIES IN A CLOUD 
6 egg whites
3/4 tsp. cream of tartar
2 c. sugar
2 c. crushed soda crackers (about 45)
3/4 c. chopped nuts
2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. Cool Whip
1 (21 oz.) can cherry pie filling

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Beat egg whites until frothy, add cream of tartar, then gradually add sugar. Beat until stiff. Fold in crushed crackers and nuts and vanilla. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes in a greased 9"x13" pan. Cool. Spread Cool Whip over top and spoon cherry filling over cream. Chill several hours.
