LAST NIGHT'S BREAKFAST | |
8 slices of bread, cubed 3/4 lb. grated cheddar cheese 2 lb. link sausage 4 eggs 2 1/4 c. milk 1 tsp. salt 3/4 tsp. dry mustard 1 can cream of mushroom soup Cook sausage, cut into 1/2 inch pieces. In a large casserole dish layer bread crumbs, cheese, sausage. Repeat. Beat eggs. Mix in milk, salt, mustard, soup and 1/3 cup water. Add this to casserole dish. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour, uncovered. May want to brown top with broiler. Let sit out for 15 minutes before serving. Great for company and not having to get up to fix something spectacular for breakfast. Serves 6 to 8. |
