CONGEALED ASPARAGUS SALAD 
1 (3 oz.) pkg. lime Jello
2/3 c. boiling water
1/3 c. cold water
1 tbsp. sweet pickle juice
1/2 c. grated American cheese
1 c. asparagus, mashed
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. mayonnaise
1 tbsp. grated onion
1/2 tsp. lemon juice
Dash of Tabasco (opt.)

Dissolve Jello in boiling water. Add cold water, salt, Tabasco, onion, pickle juice and lemon juice. Cool, but do not congeal. Add cheese, mayonnaise and mashed asparagus. Congeal.
