3 sticks butter
3 c. flour
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Cream sugar and butter until fluffy. Sift flour and baking soda and mix in. Add vanilla and beat until smooth.

Shape dough into rolls and store in refrigerator. Slice into cookies 1/4 inch thick and bake in 350 degree oven for 12 minutes. 4 dozen cookies.
