YUM, YUM SALAD 
1 c. white sugar
1 (16 oz.) can crushed pineapple, drained well (reserve liquid)
1/4 c. real lemon juice
2 tsp. Knox gelatin
1/2 c. cold water
1 pt. whipping cream, whipped
1 c. American cheese, grated

Bring to boil sugar, pineapple juice and lemon juice. Soak the gelatin in the cold water and add to the boiling mixture. Let cool until almost set. (I set in the freezer and keep checking it.) When set, fold in whipped cream and cheese and refrigerate until set.
