CHERRY CRUMB CAKE 
3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
Pinch of salt
1 c. sugar
3/4 c. butter, melted
1 egg, beaten
2 cans cherry pie filling

Combine all ingredients, except pie filling. Sprinkle 3/4 of crumb mixture on bottom of a greased 9 x 13 inch pan, then add 2 cans of pie filling (flavor of your choice). Add remainder of crumb mixture on top of cake. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour. Top with Cool Whip.

I made this for a get together and it was good. I think I will add a little bit more sugar next time as it was not quite sweet enough. I also used "no sugar added" pie filling and I will probably use the regular kind next time. Other than that, it was good. I served it with Blue Bell ice cream on top!

This was a very good crust. Ran out of sugar, added a little honey to it. I also sprinkled confectioners (powdered sugar) over it instead of cool whip. My husband liked it also. Thumbs up on this one.
