KAHLUA 
1 empty gallon wine jar with screw on lid
3 c. white sugar
2 oz. bottle instant coffee
5th of brandy or vodka (the better the brandy the better the results)
1 vanilla bean
1 pt. boiling water

Slit vanilla bean and place in jar. Mix sugar and coffee in a large bowl. Add water and stir. Pour 5th of brandy or vodka into the jar with vanilla bean. Add coffee mixture to jar and put on lid; set for ten days or more. For the best flavor, drink after 30 days.
