BAKE BEANS 
3 c. dry navy beans (1 lb.)
1/4 to 1/3 lb. bacon
1 onion, med.
1/3 c. maple syrup
1/3 c. molasses
1 tsp. dry mustard

Soak beans overnight. Cover beans with plenty of water. Put beans in bean pot with enough water to cover. Bury onion and add syrup, mustard and molasses. Cut up bacon and add. Cover and cook 5 hours at 325 degrees. Take cover off and cook 1 hour until brown.
