SCALLOPED POTATOES 
4 or 5 thinly sliced potatoes
1/2 c. sliced onions
4 slices cheese
1 stick butter
2 c. milk
3 tbsp. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. garlic powder

Wash and dry potatoes (works just as well for sweet potatoes). Coat each potato with Crisco oil.

For white potatoes: Roll potatoes in mixture of cracked pepper and salt.

For sweet potatoes: Roll potatoes in mixture of brown sugar and salt.

Place potatoes in crock-pot. (Do not wrap potatoes in foil!) Set temperature to medium. Cooking time will vary according to size and quantity of potatoes. I put 4 potatoes in for about 2 1/2 hours.

This works great for me on Sundays. I put them on before Sunday School and we have great tasting potatoes for Sunday lunch without heating up the house.
