PEANUT BRITTLE 
1 lb. raw peanuts
1 c. white Karo syrup
1 c. sugar
1 tbsp. butter
3/4 tsp. salt
1 level tsp. baking soda

Melt butter in electric fry pan. Add sugar and Karo, stir until dissolved. Stir in peanuts; increase heat to 375 degrees, stirring constantly 7 to 10 minutes. When light goes out and peanuts are brown, turn off heat. Quickly stir in baking soda.

Pour mixture on well-buttered cookie sheet, spreading quickly. Let cool, then break into pieces.

Hint: Quick clean-up when you let hot water run into electric fry pan. Only make 1 batch at a time.
