PEANUT BRITTLE
2 c. granulated sugar
1 c. white karo
1 c. water

Mix sugar, water and syrup, foil until it reaches 236 degrees.

Then add: 2 c. raw peanuts

Cook stirring constantly for 11 or 12 minutes or 290 degrees. Remove from heat, add 1 teaspoon butter, 2 rounded teaspoons soda. Stir quickly and pour into a greased 10 x 15 inch pan. Do not spread with spoon, as it ruins the brittleness. As soon as the edges start to cool, break or cut in pieces.
