GERALD'S POUND CAKE | |
2 cups white sugar 2 tbsp. vanilla extract 1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened 3 eggs 4 cups self-rising flour 1 tsp. baking powder 1/3 cup milk Preheat oven to 325°F. Grease and flour a Bundt or cake pan. In a large bowl, mix sugar, vanilla extract, and softened butter. Continue beating and slowly add eggs and beat until it is fluffy in texture. Add flour and baking powder. Beat until well incorporated. Then pour in milk and keep mixing. Pour into prepared pan. Bake at 325°F for 45 to 60 minutes. Test cake using a butter knife or toothpick. If it comes out clean, then it is ready. Let cake cool at room temperature for at least an hour. Then flip the cake onto a plate; store on a cake plate. Finally serve and enjoy!
