GAZPACHO (COLD SOUP) 
1 or 2 garlic cloves
2 lbs. fresh tomatoes
1 green pepper
3 tbsp. oil
A few cumin seeds (opt.)
Salt
1 or 2 slices of bread
1 cucumber
2 tbsp. vinegar
Pepper

Put bread, garlic, tomatoes (reserve one), small piece of green pepper (put aside rest), two or three slices of cucumber (put aside rest), oil, vinegar, cumin seeds and salt to taste. Whirl in blender until completely liquid. Strain. Add 1 pint water. Mix well. Refrigerate. Serve very cold in individual bowls garnished with pieces of leftover finely chopped green pepper, cucumber and tomatoes. Also if desired and/or chopped hard boiled egg, onion, bread. Goes well with Serviche.

Very good (but the cumin seeds). I am from south spain and there is a variation of gazpacho called Porras, basically the same ingredients but at the end you sprinkle chopped eggs, green olives, and pieces of fried bread.
