PECAN NUTMEG LOAF 
2 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 c. brown sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 egg
1 c. milk
1/4 c. butter, melted
1 tsp. grated lemon peel
1 c. pecans, chopped
10 pecans, halved

In bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and spices; stir in chopped pecans. In another bowl, whisk together egg, milk, butter and lemon peel. Add flour mixture, stirring just to blend.

Spread in greased 9 x 5 inch loaf pan. Arrange pecan halves on top. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 40-50 minutes, until done. Cool in pan for 10 minutes. Turn out onto rack and cool completely.
