HOT MILK SPONGE CAKE 
4 eggs, well beaten
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
2 tbsp. butter

Bring milk and butter to boil. Beat eggs, add sugar and vanilla. Then add dry ingredients and beat. Add hot milk and butter. Put in oven immediately. Bake in 9 x 13 pan at 350 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes.

Put on after cake is baked and toast under broiler:

10 tbsp. brown sugar
6 tbsp. melted butter
1 c. coconut
4 tbsp. cream
