HOT MILK SPONGE CAKE (EA) | |
3 eggs 2 c. sugar 1 c. hot milk 1/2 c. butter 2 c. flour 2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. vanilla Beat eggs until frothy or light in color. Add sugar. Melt butter in hot milk and add it alternately with flour, salt and baking powder to beaten eggs and sugar mixture. Add vanilla. Makes a thin batter. Bake 30 minutes in preheated 375 degree oven for layer cake. For a loaf pan, bake at 350 degrees. Suitable batter for cup cakes. |
