EDNA'S HOT MILK SPONGE CAKE 
4 eggs
2 c. sugar
2 c. flour
1 c. milk (with butter the size of sm. egg)
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla

Sift dry ingredients together; set aside. Beat eggs and sugar together well, about 3 to 5 minutes with mixer. Add dry ingredients and milk with butter that has been heated to boiling point. Add vanilla and mix well. Pour into well greased and floured tube pan. Bake at 325 to 350 degrees for about 45 minutes.
