NAVAJO FRY BREAD
1 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. lukewarm water

This is a universal Indian food.

Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Blend in water. Stir with a fork or fingers until you have dough you can handle. Roll out 1/4 inch thick and cut into 2 inch squares. You may poke a hole in the middle if you wish. Fry in hot oil until puffed, then turn on other side and brown. Drain on paper towel. Serve hot and dip in honey, jam, fruit yogurt, etc.
