LIFESAVER GELATIN SALAD 
1 sm. pkg. orange-pineapple gelatin
1 sm. carrot, grated
1 sm. can crushed pineapple
1 1/2 c. boiling water, drain and save juice
1 c. nuts, chopped fine
1 c. cabbage, chopped fine
1 lg. apple, cut in sm. cubes
2 1/2 liberal tbsp. mayonnaise (do not use salad dressing)
1 c. celery, chopped sm.

Pour hot water over gelatin. Add 1/2 cup pineapple juice; dissolve and refrigerate. Mix vegetables, fruit, nuts, and mayonnaise. Chill. When gelatin has reached a jelly stage, fold in the chilled mixture. Pour into a large mold or small ones and chill until set (about 2 hours).
