HOMEMADE LASAGNA | |
Lg. can tomatoes 3 cans tomato paste 1 onion, minced 2 tbsp. olive oil 1/2 tsp. pepper and oregano 1 tsp. sugar 1 bay leaf 1/4 c. Parmesan cheese Also will need: 1 box of lasagne 15 oz. Ricotta cheese 8 oz. cottage cheese 2 lbs. Mozzarella cheese 1 lb. ground beef 1 lb. hot sausage Mix in a crockpot or any NON METAL pot, tomatoes, tomato paste, spices, sugar and Parmesan cheese, cook on low. Saute onions and garlic in olive oil until garlic is light brown. Add to sauce. Cook sausage and beef, add to sauce. Cook lasagna, drain, run under cold water until all noodles are cool. Mix Ricotta and cottage cheese together. Make layers. First noodles, sauce, cheese - mix until all is gone. Top with Mozzarella. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until cheese is brown. Sauce may be frozen for up to a week. |
