STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE | |
2 eggs, beaten 1 c. sugar 1 c. self-rising flour 1/3 c. boiling water 1 tsp. vanilla 1 large Cool Whip Strawberries, fresh or frozen (amount desired) Slice strawberries and mix with sugar to taste, set aside. Beat eggs with mixer, add sugar, flour, vanilla and boiling water. (This will be a thin mixture.) Pour into 2 lightly greased and floured round pans. Bake in 350°F oven until done, cool. Place first cake layer on serving plate and spread with half of strawberries, followed by half of Cool Whip. Place second cake layer on top of first and spread with remaining strawberries and Cool Whip. |
