BRAZILIAN JUBILEE COOKIES 
1 1/2 c. flour
1-2 tbsp. instant coffee
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1 egg
2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. nuts
1 pkg. chocolate chips

Put all ingredients except nuts and chocolate chips in a bowl and blend well. Stir in 1/2 cup nuts and mix. Chill dough.

Shape into balls and place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes. Press 5 chocolate chips into center of each cookie. Let melt; spread. Sprinkle with nuts.
