APPLE STRUDEL
2 c. flour
1/2 c. oil
3/4 c. water
1 (3 lb.) bag pie apples
1 c. sugar
1 stick butter
Cinnamon and nutmeg to taste

Combine flour, oil and enough hot water to make a soft dough (about 3/4 cup). Let sit while preparing apples. Roll out dough as thin as possible. Cover dough with thinly sliced apples that have been sweetened with 1 cup of sugar. Chip 1 stick of butter over apples, dust with cinnamon and nutmeg.

Roll up jelly roll fashion and put in greased or oiled cake pan (9x13 inch). Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees. Every 15 minutes brush top of strudel with juices and butter that seep from roll. This is delicious either warm or cold, plain or served with vanilla ice cream.
