GRASSHOPPER SQUARES 
1 1/2 c. sifted flour
2 c. sugar
3/4 c. + 2 tbsp. instant cocoa
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/3 c. butter
4 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
2 tbsp. corn syrup
2 c. nuts, coarsely chopped

FROSTING:

2 c. sifted powdered sugar
4 tbsp. soft butter
2 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. mint extract

GLAZE:

2 sq. unsweetened chocolate
2 tbsp. butter

Sift first 4 ingredients into mixing bowl. add butter, eggs, vanilla and corn syrup. Mix thoroughly. Add nuts. Spread batter evenly in 13x9x2 pan and bake in 350 degree oven for 45 minutes or until done. Cool.

Combine frosting ingredients and beat. Spread over cooled squares. Let set. When frosting is firm, melt chocolate and butter together in top of a double boiler and spread on at once. Cut into squares or bars. These keep well in tight plastic container in refrigerator.
