SZEGEDINIE GULYA | |
2 lbs. mixed lean meat (combination of pork & beef) 2 (1 lb.) cans sauerkraut, well drained 1 bay leaf, whole 1 c. sour cream (additional sour cream optional) Salt & pepper to taste Garlic (optional) Caraway seeds to taste Place small amount of olive oil (or cooking oil) in large kettle. Cube meats into one inch pieces. Saute until brown. Stir in drained sauerkraut and bay leaf. Simmer, covered, one and a half hours. Add sour cream and salt and pepper. Toss with caraway seeds (garlic, if desired). Serve. Serves 8 to 10. |
