BEEF STROGANOFF | |
1 lb. fresh mushrooms, sliced 1 c. sour cream 2 lb. sirloin 2 med. onions, diced 1 (15 oz.) can beef consomme 1/4 c. dry sherry 1 tsp. basil 1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce 12 oz. egg noodles Cut up beef into 1 to 2 inch strips. Flour beef lightly. Brown floured beef in oil. Brown onions (sprinkle garlic powder on onions while browning). Mix beef, mushrooms, onions, sherry, basil, Worcestershire sauce, and simmer for 1 hour. After 1 hour, add sour cream and serve over cooked noodles. |
