DIVINITY (NO-FAIL) 
3 c. sugar
1/2 c. white Karo syrup
1/2 c. water
1 tsp. vanilla
Dash of salt
3 egg whites
1 c. nut meats (pecans)
1 sm. pkg. flavored Jello

Combine syrup, sugar, water and salt. Cook slowly, stirring constantly until mixture boils. Cook slowly, without stirring, until mixture forms a thread-like shape when dropped from spoon. While syrup is cooking, beat egg whites until stiff and add package of flavored Jello. Gradually add syrup to egg whites, beating constantly until mixture holds shape. Add vanilla and nuts. Drop in desired size pieces, cool and serve.

NOTE: Divinity should not be prepared in 100% humidity. The Jello is optional and is usually used only during holidays; i.e. red and/or green during Christmas holidays, etc.
