FRESH BLUEBERRY TOPPING 
4 c. fresh blueberries
1 c. sugar
3/4 c. cold water
2 tbsp. cornstarch
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. lemon juice (1 lemon)
Dash of nutmeg

Combine 1 cup berries, sugar and water in heavy sauce pan; stir well. Cook over low heat until berries are soft, about 5 minutes. Combine cornstarch, salt, lemon juice and nutmeg; add to hot mixture. Cook over low heat until smooth and thickened, about 3 to 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Stir in remaining berries. Chill well. Yields 4 cups. Good for ice cream, cereal, pancakes, waffles, etc.
