ICED PUMPKIN COOKIES 
1 stick butter
1 c. white sugar
1 egg
1 c. pumpkin (canned solid pack; not pumpkin pie filling)
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. chopped English walnuts

Blend butter, sugar and egg. Then add pumpkin and vanilla. Sift flour, cinnamon, baking powder, soda and salt. Add walnuts. Drop with spoon on greased cookie sheet.

Bake at 350°F for almost 12 minutes.

Icing:

1/2 c. brown sugar
4 tbsp. milk
3 tbsp. butter

Boil hard for 2 minutes. Let cool and add 1 cup powdered sugar.
