FRENCH ONION PIE | |
9 inch frozen pie crust, pricked 2 (3 1/2 oz.) cans of French fried onion rings 4 eggs 2 c. milk 1 1/2 c. shredded sharp cheddar cheese 1/4 tsp. salt Dash of cayenne pepper (red) Bake crust at 450 degrees for 7 to 8 minutes. Put half of the onion rings in baked crust. Beat eggs, blend in milk, 1/2 cup of the cheese. Add salt and cayenne. Pour this in pie shell. Sprinkle rest of cheese over top. Bake at 325 degrees for 45 minutes, sprinkle remaining onion rings over top. Bake another 5 to 10 minutes. Pie is done when knife inserted is clean. Let stand for 10 minutes before serving. |
