GOLDEN POUND CAKE 
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. Crisco
3 c. sugar
5 eggs
2 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. lemon extract

Cream butter and Crisco. Add sugar; beat well at medium speed. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each one.

Combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Add to mixture alternately with milk, beginning and ending with flour, until blended. Stir in vanilla and lemon extract. Pour batter into greased and floured 12-cup pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes or when wooden pick comes out of center clean.
