GOLDEN POUND CAKE 
1 lb. butter
1 lb. powdered sugar
6 eggs
3 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. lemon juice

Cream butter with sugar. Add eggs one at a time. Add vanilla and lemon juice, then add flour gradually, mixing well after each addition. Bake in greased loaf pan (2) or cake molds (2, such as lamb) at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Serves a crowd.
