HAM & CHEESE SOUFFLE | |
8 oz. cheddar cheese, grated 2 c. diced ham 16 slices white bread, remove crusts 6 beaten eggs 3 c. milk 1 tsp. dry mustard 1/2 tsp. salt Butter 8 slices of bread. Put in 9 x 13 inch pan with buttered side down. Sprinkle with cheese and ham. Top with 8 more slices unbuttered bread. Pour the following over the above: 6 beaten eggs, 3 cups milk, dry mustard and salt. Cover and refrigerate overnight. When ready to bake combine 1 cup crushed cornflakes and 1/2 cup melted butter. Sprinkle this on top of casserole and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Serve immediately. |
