1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. celery seed
1/4 c. (or less) brown sugar
1/4 c. vinegar
1/4 c. Worcestershire sauce
1 c. tomato catsup
1 c. water
Few drops Tabasco

Simmer 1/2 hour. Vary: Cook 1 grated onion and 1 minced clove of garlic 5 minutes in butter and add to sauce.
