BARBECUE RIBS WITH RODEO SAUCE | |
1 c. ketchup 1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce 2 to 3 dashes bottled hot pepper sauce 1 c. water 1/4 c. vinegar 1 tbsp. sugar 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. celery seed 4 lb. pork spare ribs 1 lemon, thinly sliced 1 lg. onion, sliced For rodeo sauce, combine first 8 ingredients, simmer 30 minutes. Salt ribs and place on rack over slow coals. Brush ribs with sauce and peg on slices of lemon and onion with toothpicks. Continue cooking until ribs are done. For smoked flavor, during the last half, toss damp hickory chips on coals. |
