1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
2 c. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. raisins
1 c. nuts
2 tsp. baking soda dissolved in 1/2 c. hot water
4 tsp. cocoa
1 tsp. allspice
2 c. chopped or grated apples
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream butter and sugar well and add rest of ingredients. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes in a 9x13 inch pan.
