COCONUT DAINTIES 
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 stick butter
1 (8 oz.) pkg. dates, cut up
2 c. Rice Krispies
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
2 c. angel flake coconut

Put sugar, dates, butter, egg in a saucepan. Cook for 8 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and add Rice Krispies and nuts. Stir well. Immediately roll into small balls and then roll in the angel flake coconut. Use the butter for to put on your hands as you roll this while it is hot.
