COCONUT PECAN DESSERT 
1 pkg. coconut pecan frosting mix
2 c. chilled whipping cream
1 (9 oz.) can crushed pineapple, drained
1 (11 oz.) can mandarin oranges, drained
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1/2 c. maraschino cherries, halved
1 lg. banana, sliced
1/3 c. dates, chopped, optional

Pour dry frosting mix into cream - before cream is whipped. Whip together until soft peaks form. Fold in pineapple, mandarin oranges, cherries, banana, dates and lemon juice.

Pour mixture into a 9 inch square pan. (Double for a large pan.) Freeze until firm. Cut into squares. Makes 12 servings.

For salad variations follow recipe except add 1/3 cup mayonnaise to frosting mix and whipping cream before beating.
