HOMEMADE BAKED STUFFING | |
cubed bread (2 pkgs) 2 or 3 cans sliced olives (or whole, and cute them) fresh mushrooms chicken broth salt pepper parsley onion powder butter Place cubed bread into large bowl and set aside. In the meantime, cut olives if you're using whole ones. If not, open cans of olives and drain the juice. Set aside. Cut up mushrooms. Melt butter in a pan. Add mushrooms and season with salt and pepper. Cook until soft, then set aside. Season cubed bread with salt, pepper, parsley and onion powder. Mix well. Add olives and mushrooms. Mix well. Add chicken broth and mix until everything sticks together. Place mix into a deep oven dish. Melt 3 tablespoons of butter and pour over stuffing mixture. Bake for 40-45 minutes. Comes out moist and flavorful! Always a big hit and the first to go on holidays! You can also add dried cranberries to the mix for cranberry stuffing. Very good for Thanksgiving!
