COUNTRY FRIED STEAK 
1 round steak, 1/2 inch thick
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. ginger
3 tbsp. fat
2 tbsp. flour
1 beaten egg
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 c. fine bread crumbs
1 1/2 c. water

Cut steak into 4 pieces, pound well on both sides with wooden mallet. Combine egg and seasonings. Dip meat in egg mixture then bread crumbs. Heat oil, add meat and brown. Remove meat, add water and flour to make gravy. Cover meat and gravy. Cook in oven at low heat for 45 minutes or until tender.
