FANTASTIC SAUCE (FOR MEATS) 
Use on chicken and pork, whole roasts or pieces.

1 (8 oz.) jar apricot preserves
1 pkg. dry onion soup mix (Lipton)
1 bottle of any thick red salad dressing (such as Catalina)

Mix together and refrigerate for several hours. Keeps well.

A delicious sauce that's so simple to prepare! Just pour on your meat before cooking so any juices released seep into the sauce and the flavors all meld. I usually season and sear the meat first, then add it to a crockpot and spoon the sauce over the top. (Though the oven works just as well.) For a creamier version, I substitute Ken's Steakhouse Thousand Island dressing for the Catalina/French/Russian. It's yummy both ways!
