TEA CAKES 
1 stick butter, melted
1 egg, slightly beaten
1 c. sugar
Milk
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. self-rising flour, sifted

In large bowl, mix flour, butter, egg, sugar and vanilla. Add milk until firm dough can be made. Roll out dough on floured wax paper and cut out cookies into desired shapes. Bake at 375 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes, or until golden brown.
