1 stick butter
1/2 c. white sugar
1/2 c. powdered sugar
1/2 c. Mazola oil
1 egg
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 tsp. baking soda

Cream together butter, sugars, oil, vanilla and egg. Add dry ingredients. The dough will be fluffy. Chill several hours or overnight. Roll in balls and place on cookie sheet. Press flat with fork or glass and sprinkle with sugar. Bake 8 to 10 minutes in 350 degree oven.
