RED VELVET CAKE 
2 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cocoa
1 c. buttermilk
1 1/2 c. oil
1 tsp. vinegar
2 eggs
1 bottle (1 oz.) red food coloring
1 tsp. vanilla

Sift together dry ingredients and mix. Add other ingredients in order of mix. Bake in greased and floured pan.

ICING FOR RED VELVET:

1 stick butter
1 pkg. (8 oz.) cream cheese
1 box confectioners' sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. pecans
