2 1/2 lbs. ground beef chuck
1/4 c. seasoned croutons
1 egg
2 tbsp. butter, melted
1 (1 1/2 oz.) pkg. onion soup mix
2 (14 oz.) bottles extra spicy catsup
1 (10 oz.) jar apple jelly
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce

Combine first 5 ingredients, make into balls. Cook meatballs in oven on cookie sheet until just firm. Combine last 3 ingredients and simmer 10 minutes. Place meatballs in 14"x12"x2" dish; pour sauce over. Cover and bake 325 degree oven for 30 minutes. Meatballs may be frozen before combining with sauce. Makes 6 dozen.
