SPICED CHICKPEAS 
3 tbsp. oil, heat until hot
1/4 tsp. whole cumin seeds, fry until they darken
1 onion, chopped, saute until brown
1/4 tsp. each cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves

Add and stir 2-3 minutes:

1 tsp. coriander
2 cloves minced garlic
Small piece fresh ginger, minced

Add to all above and simmer 10-15 minutes:

1 tbsp. tomato paste
2-3 c. cooked chick peas
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1/8-1/4 tsp. cayenne
Salt if needed
