“DIVINITY” IS IN:
NEXT RECIPE:  DIVINITY CANDY

DIVINITY 
3 cups sugar
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1/2 cup water
3 egg whites, stiffly beaten
1 cup chopped nuts
1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
pinch of salt

Combine sugar, corn syrup and water; boil for 5 minutes or until small amount of mixture forms a hard ball when dropped in cold water (250-266°F on candy thermometer).

Gradually beat into stiffly beaten egg whites. Add remaining ingredients; beat until mixture holds its shape.

Drop from teaspoon onto greased pan or waxed paper.

Cooks Note: Use of a candy thermometer is recommended.
